Martin is a great driving instructor who is very patient. He taught me how to drive in the safest and best way as I was nervous about learning to drive. The reference points he taught me for the manoeuvres were very helpful and if I didn't understand how to do something he would show me how to do it. Martin made me feel comfortable and confident whilst driving which I didn't think would happen, in such a short amount of time. With Martin's help, I passed both my theory and practical first time.
I would highly recommend Martin as it has been a pleasure driving and learning with him!

For his lessons I received a driving booklet which covered all the spec needed to pass my test. This was not only thorough but allowed me to see myself progress.
Flexibility was also a key point for me as I work and go to college so it was easy to book lessons and make changes if need be. It's just unfortunate that he supports Chelsea.

I first started off with a different instructor but unfortunately never got to my aims as a driver and had taken tests in which I failed. I got to the point where I felt I wanted to give up driving but when I contacted Martin about lessons he was happy to help from the first minute.
Martin made sure he took note of what I wanted to do and what I felt I needed to get confident in before another test and he also made sure all lessons suited my needs. I only had several lessons with Martin but these are exactly what I needed to gather enough confidence to feel ready for my test, which I passed!
Martin is a very unique driving instructor who has different techniques for all manoeuvres and other bits and bobs with driving, he makes sure he is calm with you and is happy to listen to what you need and what you are worried about. Martin is certainly the best instructor to go with as I believe his way of teaching makes you more confident and can get you to your test before you know it.

As a parent I was very shocked at how expensive driving lessons had become, however Martin offered a very good discount on the first 2 introductory lessons and further block bookings which made it much more affordable.
He also offered his honest and valuable opinion on suitable times for my son George to take his first lessons as a beginer such as on Sunday which would be quieter in town.

I have been learning with martin for a few months now and I feel I am ready to take my test. He is easy to talk to and will correct you on anything that needs adjusting or improving. Martin offers his opinion on the best times for lessons and is flexible on dates. All of his lessons are planned in advance so you get to spend most of your lesson actually driving. I would reccomend Martin to anyone out there who is looking to drive, whether they are new to it or not.

I started to learn to drive with martin lock since my original driving instructor was on maternity leave.
On the first lesson we had a refresh course so martin could see how I could drive. He had been told from my other instructor that I was having problems with my left reverse. So martin spoke to his trainer and he came up a good way to help me out with my left and right by using towards the kerb or away from the kerb. Because I have problems with my left and right as I have learning disability and dyspraxia which means I have a coordination problem.
